A quick shot of winter will return to the mountains tonight. The greatest impacts are expected across portions of the Park and Gore Ranges, including Rabbit Ears Pass, where 3 to 8 inches of snow is forecast, along with wind gusts up to 50 mph. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 6 PM this evening through 3 AM Friday for these areas. Moderate snowfall rates and gusty winds will reduce visibility, and roads will become slick by the evening commute. While the heaviest snow is expected in the northern mountains, a few inches will also be possible along the I-70 corridor.
